Experience Luxury and Adventure in the Heart of Africa
Ever wanted to get away from the world and its rat race for a while, To be left alone to meditate, reflect, or even write your book? If so the Robinson Crusoe experience is for you.
Many of the luxury lodges in the Kafue National Park shut down for the wet rainy season, between December and March. This is when it is difficult to move around on the smaller game track roads, and the density and thickness of the vegetation make it difficult to spot the animals.
During this time the lodges are maintained by a skeleton crew. For those of you wanting to get away for a week, or two, or even a month, you will be left alone to enjoy the solitude and ambience of Africa, with as much or as little involvement with the skeleton crew as you choose. You will be out of touch with the world, except via the Internet of the satellite dish.
At night listen to the sound of the lion and hippo, or the alarm call of an Impala or puku as it is stalked by a leopard. During the day listen to the orchestra of bird calls as they compete for mates and territory during the breeding season.
